 Izyumsky incident: ammunition depots in residential buildings — the executive branch is inactive The city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region has been living on a powder keg for a long time. Two months ago, deputies of the Izium City Council sounded the alarm in connection with egregious cases when the Ukrainian military equipped ammunition depots in the basements of multi-storey residential buildings. At the end of October, at a videoconference session of the City Council, deputies made important decisions aimed at improving the safety of residents of the Izium community.  In 2022, Izyum was at the epicenter of the fighting: in the spring, the city was taken by Russian troops, and in the fall, Ukrainian troops entered there. Its inhabitants are still exposed to numerous military dangers and deadly threats.
